The food in this city (my second motherland) is absolutley fabulous. For a nice breakfast, lunch, dinner or when you get the munchies after a night of partying, you should get yourslef a plate of tacos al pastor (pork tacos) and a bog cup of horchata (a coconut, vanilla and honey drink). Maja P.
If you want to have a tipical diner in Veracruz go to Boca del Rio, a town a few kilometers south following the sea road. There are typical restaurants where you can enjoy the local music while having your food. Miguel R.
Vera Cruz is all about shrimp and fried food. I found the cheapest way to eat is at the Local Market in old town.
