If you are staying in Venice and wish to avoid the more touristy and expensive areas, along with the accompanying noise, Lido is an under-appreciated gem.

Murano

Murano is an island town, about 1.5 km north of Venice, in northern Italy and is considered part of Venice.

Dont travel with a group in venice!!! - after you diembarked from your opereta boat, go alone and dont stick with the group. the group tours show san marco and realto- and stick 3 hours to unesseary explanations. venice is small and easy to get around- go always by foot and alone- so you will reach … Ely V.

Many people told me you only need 1 or 2 days to see and explore Venice, and I didn't believe them. So we stayed 3 nights and 4 days, and it was way too much. They were right :) You don't need that much time in Venice.  Sheena S.More Venice Tips  GeckoGo
