One of the highlights of Bolivia : the Salar of Uyuni ! A tip : start the excursion from Tupiza to Uyuni instead of doing the opposite, you will sometimes cross other tourist 4*4 but at least you won't find yourself in a line of ten 4*4 cars following each other !

The salt flats are amazing here, make sure you go with a good company though! Bring a hot water bottle and warm clothes as it is seriously cold at night. Sun glasses too and sun cream of course.

"Salar de Uyuni" was for me a once in a lifetime experience, the most beautifull "out of this world" landscapes combined with the amazing "SALAR" or salt flats... The little town of Uyuni itself is not worth staying long, you better continue to the mining town of Potosi.
