Tell Basta Tourist Information

Tell Basta is the site of the old temple of Bast, and also a site of Christian pilgrimage, the Holy Family supposedly stopping here during their exile into Egypt. Tell Basta is in the south-east of the Delta township of Zagazig, approximately 80km North East of Cairo.
