Tashkent Hotels

Tashkent is the capital city of Uzbekistan. It is an ancient city on the Great Silk Road from China to Europe. Little remains of the ancient city after the 1966 earthquake and earlier modernisation work following the 1917 revolution. When staying in Tashkent, we recommend Hotel Uzbekistan, Hotel Asia Tashkent, Viardo Hotel (3 km northwest), Hotel Sayram (5 km northwest), and Sam Buh Elite Hotel (5 km northwest).

While in Toshkent, you must visit their markets (bozori). Specially, the one that is only open during the weekends...you can buy everything there including pets! Cyrene D.

Whatever you do, don't change too much money at the airport.
