The French Concession is the area of Shanghai once designated for the French, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts.

Pudong

Pudong is Shanghai's newest district on the eastern side of the Huangpu River, a Special Economic Zone chock full of gleaming skyscrapers rising out of what was mere farmland only 15 years ago.

Zhujiajiao

Zhujiajiao is a township in the Qingpu District of Shanghai. The population of Zhujiajiao is around 60,000.

Old City is the area inside the the ancient walled city of Shanghai, the city walls ringed the city around what is today Remin & Zhonghua streets.

Putuo is in Shanghai.

Expo 2010

Expo 2010 is a World's Fair scheduled to be held in Shanghai, China from 1 May to 31 October 2010.

Songjiang

Sōngjiāng is a county in the Shanghai municipality in People's Republic of China.

Hongkou

Hongkou is on the northeast side of Shanghai. The district is most known for Hongkou Stadium, Shanghai University's campus and Lu Xun Park.

Qibao

Qibao ancient town, is an ancient town in Shanghai municipality about 15km south of Shanghai city.

Zhabei

Zhabei is in Shanghai.

Yangpu

Yangpu is in Shanghai. The heart of the district is near Wujiaochang, mainly a shopping center with a large cineplex, including an IMAX theatre.

Southern Suburbs

Southern Suburbs includes the Shanghai districts of Jinshan, Fengxian, Nanhui as well as parts of Songjiang and Minhang lying south of the river.

A fantastic city for clubs, bars and nightlife. Nothing too seedy and very minor underground scene. Check out Laris and Attica, both near The Bund for fine cuisine, sumptuous drinking, dirty dancing and outstanding views. Nanjing Road at night is NOT to be missed. Not a fan of the traffic, or the airport. Most recent trip through Shanghai had me at the airport 5 hours before my flight and I could not check-in until just over 2 hours before the flight.
