Seattle: Ballard Hotels

Ballard is a neighborhood in northwest Seattle. While mostly residential, the locks are a major tourist attraction. Nearby smaller neighborhoods sometimes falling under Ballard's umbrella include Phinney Ridge and Greenwood, extending to the northeast, and Crown Hill directly north.

Ballard is an old and eclectic part of town. My favorite part of the area is Ballard Avenue with it's bars, little shops and live music. It is a great place to go to hang and and once a year many of the places open their doors to a flat cover charge.
