Saint Albert, or is a city in the Edmonton Capital Region. "St. Albert is Alberta’s oldest non-fortified community with roots going back to 1861. At this time, Father Lacombe convinced Bishop Taché that a mission be established on the Sturgeon River to serve the Aboriginals and the Metis of the district.

St. Albert is a satelite city of Edmonton. For the most part is a fairly wealthy community and does have a few attractions. The first is Father Lacombe Chapel which is the oldest standing building in Alberta although not in it's orginal spot. It's on St. Vital Avenue and is open during the summer … Michael M.
