Sado Island Hotels

Sado Island is an island off the coast of Niigata in the Chubu region of Japan. Long a remote place of exile for political dissidents, including a deposed monarch, Emperor Juntoku, and the buddhist monk Nichiren, Sado experienced a boom during the Edo era when gold was found at Aikawa. When staying in Sado Island, we recommend Tokaen (4 km north), Ryotsu Yamaki Hotel (8 km northeast), Kohan No Yado Yoshidaya (9 km northeast), Aikawa Yamaki (12 km west), and Nanauraso (12 km west).
