Red River is a small ski resort town in North Central New Mexico. Red River lies on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway between Questa and Eagle Nest. It is approximately equidistant from Taos in either direction, with Taos across the circle to the southwest.

Red River is great for a quick family get-away. There is a campground and lodging in town as well as campgrounds along the highway outside of town for a more roughing it kind of deal. Red River is a small quiet town. It is great for snowskiing and snowboarding especially for beginners or those with children learning to ski.
