Plakias Hotels
Plakias is a village in the Rethymno Prefecture of Crete. By road, several buses daily from Rethimno and Ayia Galini, one in high season from Sfakia I did once see someone arrive on Plakias beach by paragliding, on another occasion a party in canoes. Look for accommodation in Plakias, or try finding hotels in Souda, 44 km to the northeast, or Damnoni.

The Monastery of Preveli is situated in this vicinity.
