Go on a trip out to see the rather large windmills up past Ashhurst . Large alien like structures on the hills , good photo vantage points of the valley . Self drive option only follow signs from Ashhurst . No shops theres so take supplies and be careful opening car daws. Dress warm as it is cold … Taryn J.

The gardens are great. The schools are passable and the hospital is adequate. Everything is square there. The roads, the buildings, the people. It is dying for a collective sense of humour. Keep driving to Wellington. Mark P.
