the most gorgeous maya ruins i've seen yet! the size of these pyramids is astounding! they're located in the mountains, so the scenery views are amazing. u can also climb EVERY pyramid ... unlike chichen itza where u can only climb the main one. Chantelle S.
You need to stay a nigth in El Panchan... it is directly before you enter the pyramides of Palenque, in the middle of the rain forest. Maik S.
Try not to stay in Palenque town. Head out towards the ruins and rent a room or shed there. You will be able to wake up early to the sound of howler monkeys, and be the first in to see the ruins while its still not too hot. Sarah-Louise H.
