Newark Hotels

Newark is New Jersey's largest city, located on the west side of the Hudson River close to New York City. Due to its proximity to New York, as well as its reputation for seediness, Newark is often overlooked in favor of Goliath-like Manhattan 5 mi east as well as commuter havens Jersey City and Hoboken. Look for accommodation in Newark, or try finding hotels in Harrison, New York, 9 miles to the west, East Orange, or Irvington.

I will use Newark from now on! It is so much more reasonable to fly into Newark instead of JFK or LGA, and it only takes 45 mins by train to get into the city! Charity M.

Went to Newark International Airport.... and spent there 7 hours Transfer between two flights... how frustrating it is to see NY and not be able to go to it :-( Sacha W.

Cheap and Easy to fly into Newark and go to NYC. Much cheaper than flying into JFK or LaGuardia. But Newark as a city is AWFUL. One of the most dangerous cities in the country. Fly in, take the PATH Train into the city, or just get a cab. Don't doddle around Newark unless you have a good reason. Jeremy P.More Newark Tips  GeckoGo
