Melnik Hotels
Melnik is a city in Southwest Bulgaria. Once a day there is bus to Sofia. Probably the smallest town in Bulgaria. You can cross it in 15 minutes. The Rozhen Monastery is 6km out of the town. Look for accommodation in Melnik, or try finding hotels in Sandanski, 12 km to the northeast.

Melnik Travel Tips
The very nice place to stay is Rimski Most Hotel - it isn't located in the center of town (which is within 5 minutes walk distance) but a very nice owner. Knowing at least a little bit of Bulgarian or Russian really helps. Anna N.
The interesting people to meet while in Melnik are the musicians from the local band Leb i Vino (the art gallery at the municipal office just opposite the bus stop). Anna N.
