Masaya Travel Tips

Great Volcano. Easy to get to. Can drive to the summit. Buses from Masaya town center or from Managua. Nice visitors shop on the road up to the summit. Remember to face the car away from the volcano so you can drive away quickly if there is an incident.... Peter W.
When you are visiting the volcano, definitely make sure to bring water and good hiking shoes. There are a lot of hiking opportunities around to get to the good views, both moderate and easy.
