Mammoth Cave National Park Travel Tips

I was there during spring break one year in college and it snowed on us :) Even in the cold, it was a great place to visit and very family friendly. Heidi N.
Make sure you've got a place to stay - even if you camp, you need to reserve a place. It's very impressive walking inside the caves - even though there will be 49 other people being too lound around you. Get up early and make sure you take the first tour. Marisa M.
When visiting the cave be sure to set aside some time to travel above ground.  The majority of my trips to Mammoth have not gone underground.  The hiking paths are beautiful and there are great canoeing options on the Green River. Matthew B.
