great city. do go to the river! many travel guides only mention a few (for china) expensive hotels. but there are many cheapies along tianshui-lu (strait north-east when leaving the train station). however they advertise in chinese, so you better ask around. alongside this street you will find … Edward V.

flights from beijing available. airport approx. one hour by car to lanzhou. very deserted area due to deforestation. located on the yellow river (huang he). boat trips possible. dishes not very spicy. people love also to drink local beer. very nice and old pedestrian bridge across huang he.
