I went to Labadee Beach, which is Northeast of Cap-Haitien. I was very young when I visited here but I remember swimming for hours. I hear now that it's gotten dangerous, and that there are lots of jellyfish, so I don't know if I'd go back. Sarah R.
The sewers that run in front of the buildings are used for all forms of disposal, but are often played in by the children. Meat is available from traveling wheelbarrow salesman.
