Kraków Travel Tips

For cheap places to stay there are usually people around the train station offering rooms in private houses. You have to go to Wawel (pronounced Vavel) Castle. Some say this is the heart of Poland and it is the past seat of Polish Kings. There is also a Smok (Dragon) that lives in the tunnel … Patrick D.
Best way to get about is public bus.No-one is much fussed about paying for these, but if you feel inclined they are relatively cheap anyway 3 zloty for a one way fare.Getting to the Salt Mines is easy - bus 204 - and works out half the price of a guided tour company. Tony M.
Nice in Krakow is that you have real authentic restaurants on the corners of the big square Jeroen N.
