Kinmen 金門 is an outlying island located near the People's Republic of China, but is controlled by the Republic of China on Taiwan. Kinmen means "Golden Gate" KinCheng, meaning Golden City, is the main city in Kinmen, located on the greater Kinmen island. Look for accommodation in Xiamen, 25 km to the west.
