Katherine Hotels

Katherine is a village in the Lower Top End of the Northern Territory, Australia. Katherine is the third largest settlement in the Northern Territory around 300km south from Darwin.

Just stopped there with the Greyhound bus for a break to grap a snack. The locals can be a bit strange if you are a woman on your own so don't get involved too much in any conversation... Karolin T.

There is a gorge in the national park nearby, for just a short 1-2k walk you can get some great views down into the river, and ever hike a little down to swim. Worth stopping for an afternoon to enjoy. I don't remember having to pay to get in anywhere, so it's a low-budget wonder :) Julie T.

Nitmiluk national park is great to take a kayak and explore katherine gorge, you can rent a kayak for one day or multiple days up the river. the cascades make the ride a bit difficult , but defenitly worth going. Stefaan V.More Katherine Tips  GeckoGo
