Kapalua has a fantastic semi-protected bay that's PERFECT for snorkeling - if you don't have your own equipment, you can rent some from "Bob's" and even return it on a different island if you're island-hopping. Make sure you don't get the cheapest mask, though, because I was told that they leak. Jennifer V.
