Iquitos Hotels

Iquitos is in the Amazonas region of Peru. This is not to be confused with the Department Amazonas where Chachapoyas is located. Iquitos is the capital of the vast Department of Loreto, which covers most of the northern Amazon region of Peru. Mad Mick's Bunk House is the cheapest sleep in town, and a good place to book jungle trips from (we did and it was good.) Beautiful jungle city which is more like a sprawling town. Very humid and hot. Don't expect a clean, modern city. It is a jungle city, lots of mud, lots of mosquitos. Beautiful people though. Very freindly and eager to please. Marcos H.
