Hohhot Hotels

Hohhot is the capital of Inner Mongolia, and part of a metropolitan area with a population of around 2.5 million. Although Hohhot has only been the capital of Inner Mongolia since 1947, it has taken on the role with ease and with a rapidly growing population it has begun to challenge Baotou as the region's industrial and economic powerhouse.

Now I took the train from UB to Hohot some years ago and since then the place has changed considerably!!! Within one years it has become another chinese city - I am planning to go back down soon and I will let you know what I find now :D Zanjan F.

Don't expect to see a lot of English anywhere - it was all Chinese character and Mongolian! Also, there is no operational hotpot restaurants outside of winter. The taxi drivers will try to rip you off. But the grasslands were worth it! Anissa H.More Hohhot Tips  GeckoGo
