Grand Bruit is a small coastal village in Southern Newfoundland, accessible by ferry, with a population of about 14 residents. The community is divided down the middle by a waterfall, hence the name "Grand Bruit" which is French for "great noise." Grand Bruit is no longer accessible by the Provincial Ferry Service on a limited schedule.
