Beautiful unspoilt island an easy trip by ferry from Stockhol. Hire a bike when you get there and make sure you take time to walk around historic Visby with its well preserved fortifications. Andy G.

This island is beautiful and relatively unknown to most of the world.  Tall grasses, strong northern winds, and a unique Scandanavian culture that seems to be somewhere in between Danish and Norwegian make this place rather enjoyable.  You need to take a ferry from Denmark I believe, but I think … Erik L.
