Gorizia Hotels

Gorizia is a charming small city, right on the border with Slovenia. At one time Gorizia was the main town of the surrounding region but has been separated since 1945 when the international border ran through the eastern part of the city.

small town, but interesting due to its histroy. Together with Nova Gorizia, a city once divided, just like the Berlin with the German wall. You still have to pass the borders, but there's a mutual square between the two cities where people can freely meet. Sien V.

The city is typical old commie style...big squares, cold feeling... But if you feel like having a gamble, it's the place to go! Just get over the border and wait for the little bus to pick you up (it comes every half hour and takes you for free to any of the casino's!) Karel B.
