Elgin is a town in Grant County, in the southwestern area of North Dakota. It has a population of about 659 people. Coordinates are latitude 46.40 N & longitude 101.85 W. Its elevations is 2,351 feet. Elgin is much larger than Carson, 14 miles to the east, which is the County Seat.
