The beach at Ein Gedi is not very pretty at all, but the best spot for the obligatory dip in the dead sea. Busses go there from Jerusalem frequently. Taking busses back is quite a challenge, it's easier to stop a Sherut and hich a ride back. Ramon A.
Hiking outside in the mountains of En Gedi has been one of the coolest things I've ever done. The view is amazing! ... the Red Sea, Jordan, the mountains!
