Eilat Hotels

Eilat is an oddity in Israel, because it has so many tourists and relatively few Israelis. Located at the southern-most tip of the country, within its small "window on the Red Sea", Eilat is first and foremost a resort town these days, devoted to sun, fun, diving, partying and desert-based activities. Look for accommodation in Eilat, or try finding hotels in Aqaba, 6 km to the southwest, or Taba, 9 km to the southeast.

There is so much to do in and around Eilat that you will need to prioritise your time. Don't just sit on the beach or at your hotel soaking up the sun: Take a jeep safari into the Negev and visit Timna park and the Eilat mountains, spend a day at the unique aquarium, if you are more adventurous … Andy G.
