Beware that the Lochness Museum is totally cheesy, in a way that is good if you aren't on a budget. This town is charming and remote with a hauntingly beautiful castle -- but not a lot for entertainment or nightlife. Good for romantic getaways; not good for excitement.

Drumnadrochit is the home to the two official Loch Ness and monster of Loch Ness exhibition centres! Both the Original and the Authentic Exhibition centre are founded there!

Drumnadrochit is a small village besides the famous Loch Ness from where you can reach Fort Augustus (SW) or Inverness (NE) in one day by foot. I'd suggest you stay at the Backpackers' Lodge, it was the last place to stay overnight that we found at about 10 p.m.
