Drumheller Hotels

Drumheller is a small town in the Alberta Badlands region of Alberta, Canada, famous for the rich deposits of fossils found in the area. Set in a characteristic "badlands" valley carved in the plains by the Red Deer River, Drumheller rose through coal mines — now abandoned — early in the 20th century. When staying in Drumheller, we recommend Heartwood Inn and Spa, Ramada Inn and Suites Drumheller, Super 8 Drumheller, Econo Lodge Inn and Suites Drumheller, and Canalta Jurassic Inn Drumheller (2 km south).

Drumheller Travel Tips

It's not just the museum here, there are a lot of sites in town to check out- like the giant trex and reptile world, there is a coal mine site and some settler histric sites as well. There is nowhere in town to eat though, so be prepared to hunt something down or pack a lunch. Christina G.
Check out the mini dinosaurs downtown. Also ask about the Last Chance Saloon. Out in the middle of nowhere but so unique. Also visit the hoodoos outside of town. Kathy B.
Gets incredibly hot during summer. Not so much fun looking at dinosaur fossils in killer heat! Tessa E.
