Daejeon is the capital of South Chungcheong province. Daejeon is the 5th largest city in South Korea, with a population of approximately 1.5 million. It is located in the centre of Korea and is at the crossroads of national rail and road transport routes, the Gyeongbu railway, Honam railway, Gyeongbu Expressway, and Honam Expressway. When staying in Daejeon, we recommend Samhoja Kaekwan Hotel Daejeon, Toyoko Inn Daejeon Government Complex, Joy Tourist Hotel Daejeon (2 km northwest), Hotel Spapia (3 km northwest), and Royal Tourist Hotel Daejeon (4 km northwest).

There's really no reason to go Daejeon EXCEPT the Boryeong Mud Festival that takes place every July. In a major tourist-fest, you can cover yourself with the natural mud from head to toe and take pictures that will impress your friends back home all while exfoliating and soothing your skin. Be careful not to mix up Daejeon and Tajon. Different places. Daejeon is in the middle of korea. Tajon is where the mudfestival is held. It is some party. This place is also famous for its raw fish. Michelle V.
