Not thoroughly impressed with the budget accomodation in this city, but had excellent Pisco Sours in a restaurant on the river. The Bank Museum is not to be missed! Emma D.
If you are in Cuenca you are in one of the most beautiful cities in Ecuador. The city is a combination of old spanish style and Latin influences. Nice shops scattered around town. The flower market next to the Cathedral is worth a visit! Also the Market outside town is nice though a bit more … Jorien T.
For those who are into colonial architecture, this is an excellent place to feel like living in the spanish colonization time, all the streets are bedded with "adoquines" the houses and even hotels still keep the colonial and rustical style.
