Coober Pedy Travel Tips

A couple of hours spent searching the mine tailings can turn up an opal. Sure, it's not gem quality but it looks great anyway...and it's free. Nigel H.
travel from adelaide to alice springs and make a stopover in coober pedy in the middle of the outback. great opal mines, opals and hotels under the sand in the ground. totally awesome! Dominic M.
In regards to the Opals it's worth a stop, also the experience of sleeping underground is quite awesome. The locals are a bit funny though, it's just another world... Karolin T.
