Hi! If you don't care much for crowds or if it's not imperative for you to take a tour. I suggest that you rent a car and drive to Chichen-Itza. If you travel to the riviera (Cancun or Playa) you defenitely have to visit the Mayan Chichen-Itza ruins. On the way stop at the cenotes, beatifull small "lakes" underground. Joaquin R.
If you can, stay nearby and book a cab to take you there early at opening time, before the tour bus hordes arrive from Cancun. Wonderful to be there almost alone. Hugh M.
