Charlotte: NoDa Hotels
NoDa is an arts district in Charlotte. Its name is a blend of "NOrth DAvidson", after the district's main street. Originally a mill village that operated almost independently of Charlotte, it became a haven of poverty and vice in the middle of the 20th Century. When staying in NoDa, we recommend VanLandingham Estate (1 mile south), Hotel Sierra Charlotte Center City (3 miles southeast), Charlotte Marriott City Center (3 miles southeast), Continental Inn Charlotte (2 miles north), and Dunhill Hotel (2 miles southeast).

Only where I grew up! It's changed a lot, so my tip would probably be to not really go there. :) Just kidding! Anyways, its a little part of Charlotte, and it used to have a bit of that small town charm, but now cracker jack box houses have overtaken the community and it's not so much fun.
