Bhowali is in Uttaranchal in India just 11 km from Nainital towards Ranikhet. It's a beautiful place & also gateway to major kumoun hill stations. It is also famous for Godakhal temple & army school.

A very sobering city for me really ... the tuberculosis sanatorium here housed several when treatment for the disease was not available ... several famous ones too such as from the Gandhi family... but otherwise nothing much to this tiny town ... it mainly serves as a junction when you want to head … Apurva N.
