Bangor Hotels

Bangor is a small city in Gwynedd. Bangor is a small coastal city in North Wales, and although it does not have an abundance of attractions, it is a picturesque place offering views over the Menai Strait, and also serves as a convenient base for visiting the nearby Snowdonia National Park. Look for accommodation in Menai Bridge, or try finding hotels in Beaumaris, 3 miles to the northwest, Llanfairpwll, 3 miles to the east, Tregarth, 3 miles to the southwest, or Y Felinheli, 4 miles to the southeast.

Bangor Travel Tips

This city is happening during the school year--there's always action at the pubs, especially when students are around. Sights to see: Bangor Cathedral, the pier, and Menai Bridge. There is a shopping centre in downtown Bangor that is pretty nice too. Julie H.
A small Welsh town on the isle of Anglesey and is quiet as it is quaint. The castle of Beaumaris is nearby and a great day out. Anthony M.
relax, n enjoy No better place to relax. Kelly B.
Travel along the coast road up past the pier, look at the stone circle, over on the menai bridge and all the way down the coast road to Beaumaris castle on Ynys mon. There are lovely wild flowers by the sand dunes at Aberfraw on the west of Ynys Mon. Rohhss C.
