Baltimore Hotels

Baltimore is a popular tourist destination in Maryland, in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States of America, near Washington, D.C. It is perhaps most famously known as the city where Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics for the Star Spangled Banner, and today has become a major center for tourism and travel. Look for accommodation in Baltimore, or try finding hotels in Linthicum, 6 miles to the south.

South Baltimore

South Baltimore is the entrance point for most visitors to the city, coming in off I-95 from the south, and home to one of the city's number one attractions—Fort McHenry, as well as both the Orioles and Ravens stadiums.

Fells Point

Fells Point is a historic maritime neighborhood east of Baltimore's Inner Harbor area that contains the city's densest collection of pubs, bars, and restaurants.

Inner Harbor

The Inner Harbor is the heart of Baltimore, and the standard-bearer of its industrial and maritime heritage.

Midtown

Midtown is a district of Baltimore.

Downtown

Downtown Baltimore is Baltimore's central business district and seat of the city government.

West Baltimore

West Baltimore is a huge section of the city notorious for violent and other drug-related crime, but also for its unique culture, endless streets of old Baltimore rowhouses with their marble stoops, and sprawling parklands.

East Baltimore

East Baltimore is a sparsely populated, mostly residential district covering about a third of the entire city in the very rough east of downtown and the more suburban-feeling northeast.

North Baltimore

North Baltimore is a large section of the city sprawling north towards Towson, and is home to Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus.

Southeast Baltimore

Southeast Baltimore, fittingly, covers the areas in the southeast of Baltimore, ranging from industrial wastelands to charming neighborhoods both quiet and hip.
