Baku Travel Tips

The food is great. Try lambchops! They breed sheep especially, and they have very tender meat with no "sheep odour". Florin I.
Do not get too drunk when out at evening, and try not to take a cab alone. There have been many 'incidents' of western workers/tourists being mugged. Try to find a taxi driver which you can get along with then take their mobile number and try to only use them......even the locals do this. Lee B.
Only buy fresh beluga caviar from the fishermen - the stuff in the hotels - much like the black market currency exchange there - is not to be trusted - too many scams (overpriced and low quality). And do not get in discussions about Nagorno-Karabakh :)) Joseph T.
